(ANSA) - ROME, JANUARY 19 - The path of change of administrations through digitalization "is not always easy and cheap, in a scenario increasingly characterized by the need to reduce PA costs, the lack of financial resources and adequate professional figures, organizational difficulties , the persistence of a bureaucratic administrative culture ". This was stated by the Bank of Italy in the seventh survey to detect the degree of computerization of local administrations and in which "missing opportunities" are found. The data collected by the survey indicate that, "despite the progress achieved, the path towards the country's growth model through the digital economy designed by the Commission is still largely to be achieved".The obstacles are the limited financial resources available (65% of the entities) and the lack of professionalism of the staff (58% of the entities). In particular, training initiatives are still limited.
About two thirds of the institutions provided training in digitalisation for less than 20% of the staff.
