Two months after the crowd movement that claimed the lives of ten people at the festival organized by Travis Scott in Houston in the United States, the investigation is still underway to determine the circumstances of the tragedy. But she is stalling. Difficult for the police to see clearly when 50,000 festival-goers trod the lawn of the event.
“The Houston Police Department has already viewed countless hours of video evidence as part of our ongoing investigation into the Astroworld event. In order to ensure that we have collected all possible evidence for a full investigation, we have partnered with the Federal Bureau of Investigation for additional technical assistance
,” Houston police said in a statement shared on Twitter.
The FBI, in its own way, is helping. By creating a website, the intelligence service invites all spectators witnessing the drama to
"send photos or videos taken at the concert venue"
, more specifically those captured
"between 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. in the main area of the festival"
. The form asks witnesses to fill in their contact details (surname, first name, telephone number, email address) before providing a maximum of four files.
This help from festival-goers would provide valuable evidence to the authorities in order to lead to a trial.
To this day, Travis Scott denies any responsibility.
In an interview granted to the American journalist Charlamagne Tha God last December 9, the rapper swears
“to have simply seen nothing”
of the crowd movement which took place a few meters from the stage.
More than 300 complaints have been filed to date against the rapper.
282 victims of the stampede claim 10 billion dollars.
