At least once a week (especially on Thursdays) I get a message with a request, not to mention a plea to the lifeline: "Do you have a good and quick recipe for a children's birthday cake?".

Although there are countless recipes for children's birthday cakes on the net, some have given up and given up because of failed past attempts or because the children have learned to distinguish between good and evil and are much more picky and opinionated today;

The results, at the height of the birthday party, can be seen quickly: either the cake is gone and some kids want to lick the leftovers from the mold, or after the smoke and confetti disperse, all the pieces are revealed in the tin bag.

I took on the task of cracking the code for a birthday cake that kids will enjoy eating and will even ask: Can I have another little piece?

Because apart from the abundance of colorful refreshments (healthier and less) that the hosts bother to load on the tables, what they remember most is the cake.

For several months I made cakes of all kinds, in different ratios of raw materials and varied techniques, and gave each child who happened to be on my way to taste: the neighborhood children, those from the classes, those from the class, the family and anyone who was willing to taste.

Bottom line: everyone liked it soft, juicy, airy and not too sweet (because there is the topping - so at least everyone agreed, which always sweetens a little more).

I think that at the end of a particularly happy and fascinating journey, I found the right cake, and I recommend you make it the day before, coat it with melted chocolate (bitter or milk) with a little vegetable oil and let it rest in the fridge until the very last moment - "Where is the cake".

And even if you make it at the last minute, it guarantees that you will receive a lot of compliments and the question: Is a recipe possible?
