  • Peel the potatoes and place them in a bowl of cold water.

    That way they won't turn brown.

    Extra tip: If you want to go faster, you can also leave the bowl on.

    The fries are more reminiscent of country potatoes.

  • Then halve the potatoes, cut them across and cut the two resulting layers into 1 cm thick sticks.

    The fries should be about the same thickness so that they are cooked through at the same time.

  • Put the finished potato sticks in a colander and rinse under running water.

    Boil water in the kettle, put the potato sticks in a bowl and scald them with hot water.

    Leave them in it for 10-15 minutes.

  • Preheat the oven to 180 °C for circulating air or 200 °C for top/bottom heat.

    Pour the fries into a colander and pat dry with a kitchen towel.

  • Pour the oil into a bowl and toss the fries in it.

    Now sprinkle the rice flour on top and mix again.

  • Line two baking sheets with parchment paper and spread the fries on them - they should not touch.

    Bake the fries in the oven for about 30 minutes.

    If you have circulating air, you can put the trays in the oven at the same time, one after the other with top/bottom heat.

    After 15 minutes turn the fries once.

  • Then put the finished fries in a bowl and season to taste with salt and paprika powder.
