New studies aimed at improving therapies and at the early diagnosis of multiple myeloma - a blood cancer whose occurrence is greater among the elderly - but also aimed at the development of new systems to incentivize patients' home care aiming at a reduction of hospitalizations.
These are the objectives of some of the projects selected and winners of the Sanofi 'Research to care 2021-2022 onco-hematology edition' research call.
The projects awarded by the Sanofi call and the state of oncology research in Italy - also in light of the new funds provided for by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan Pnrr - will be discussed during the special 'ANSA Incontra' scheduled at 12 noon tomorrow 12 May on ANSA.it.
Among the guests, the president and CEO of Sanofi Italia Marcello Cattani;
Mario Boccadoro, president of the jury of the announcement and emeritus professor of Hematology at the University of Turin and Stefano Vella, professor of Global Health at the Catholic University of Rome.
The researchers of the winning projects will also be connected, while the deputy Beatrice Lorenzin will illustrate the latest legislative innovations in the field of research in Italy.
