This is the claim of a letter sent to the presidents of the Commission and the Council on the eve of the extraordinary council by the governments of Denmark, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Slovakia, Greece, Malta and Austria.
"We call on the Commission to present a comprehensive European approach for all migration routes and such an approach should aim to address pull factors including through the necessary legal and technical adjustments."
