The 2023 Pritzker Prize was awarded to Britain's David Chipperfield on Tuesday.
The architect is notably the author of the River and Rowing Museum, near Oxford, the Jumex collection museum in Mexico City and a pavilion for the America's Cup in Valencia, Spain.
The architect succeeds Diébédo Francis Kéré, crowned in 2022. This native of Gando in Burkina Fasso, naturalized German, has always had only one idea in mind: to involve the community in his projects and to build with the local, by promoting reuse and recycling.
