Diablo 4: New Beta Announced – All Dates, Times and Changes

Diablo 4 is still getting a beta for everyone with new content.

In the new test, players are supposed to destroy the servers, provoked developer Blizzard.

Hamburg – Diablo 4 will start a surprising beta on May 12th.

Really everyone who is interested can take part this time and start the download.

Developer Blizzard wants to see if the servers can handle the onslaught of players.

Diablo 4 Beta takes place on PC, PS5/ PS4 and Xbox and offers some changes and innovations compared to the first test phases.

The test phase is only very short this time, but on all platforms.

Server slam in Diablo 4:

Blizzard itself calls the new and probably last Diablo 4 beta the "server slam".

So the developers want to push the servers to their limits and see if they can withstand the onslaught of millions of players this time.

Do you need a key for Diablo 4 Beta?

No, everyone can participate in the beta phase from March 12th to 14th without meeting any special requirements.

You can find the free download in the store of its platform.

Only access to the Diablo 4 Closed Beta on March 17th was exclusive to those who pre-ordered or had special keys.

Preload and download size:

Most likely there will be a preload, i.e. a download before May 12, 2023. When exactly that will start is not yet known - this information will then be added here.

And that is also badly needed, because depending on the platform, the Diablo 4 beta eats up 40 to almost 90 GB on the hard disk.

So if you want to enjoy the new content in time for the start, you should start downloading it early.

Diablo 4: Beta all content and classes and innovations

New in the May Beta:

Not much will change if you've already played the Diablo 4 Open or Closed Beta in March.

But these innovations await the players:

• Couch Coop: You can experience the last beta in May 2023 with friends in split screen (only on consoles).

• New mount trophy for defeating Ashava on a level 20 character (kept at release).

• Cross save between all platforms.

  However, the progress from the closed beta and open beta will not be carried over, all start again at level 0.

• Patches and balance changes based on Open Beta feedback: Diablo 4 excites many, but 5 things annoy - Especially this deadly sin

What is playable in the beta?

The Beta gives players a taste of the Diablo 4 campaign. All Act 1 content is playable.

This includes the first zone, the Shattered Peaks, a snowy landscape to explore at will.

Characters can be leveled up to a maximum of level 25, but even after reaching the cap, players can still continue to gamble.

As a highlight you should try the world boss Ashava of the Diablo 4 Beta, but it only appears at certain times.

All classes in Diablo 4 can be played as male or female.

In the course of the open beta, all Diablo 4 classes will be playable.
