The Tax Authority is conducting a new investigation against former Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, MK Haim Katz, details of which are unknown. It should also be noted that in August of this year, the Mandelblit District Court announced to MK Haim Katz that he had decided to indict him for fraudulent offenses and breach of trust in the Equital shares affair. As a result, Minister Haim Katz resigned as Minister of Labor and Welfare. In the media it was stated that MK Katz does not intend to ask the Knesset not to remove his immunity, and in any case, no permanent Knesset committee has been set up, the issue of MK Katz's immunity cannot be discussed. Mandelblit's decision to prosecute MK Katz is related to MK Katz's relationship with capital market man Moti Ben Ari.
It should be mentioned that this is an investigation by the Securities and Exchange Commission, which investigated MK Katz's relationship with Ben Ari, who according to the alleged suspicions, gave Ben Ari Katz when he was a minister, a good time for a long time, and they made MK Katz a big profit. At the same time, Minister Katz promoted Ben Ari's interests, utilizing his public office. The Mandelblit District Court gave up the bribery offense that was initially attributed to Katz, following the hearing held by MK Katz.
