Daraa-Sana
After visits and tourist delegations to Busra al-Sham in Daraa Governorate stopped for several years due to terrorism, this ancient city has returned as the best tourist destination in the southern region, with its buildings and archaeological sites inside and outside the old city.
Also, according to the director of the Chamber, the old city received tourist and educational visits from the Faculty of Tourism and the Tourism Institute and a Russian briefing delegation in preparation for the implementation of tourist trips from Russia to Bosra.
In turn, the head of the Bosra Archeology Department, Alaa El Salah, said that the city of Bosra, to which the Syrian Arab Army returned to security and stability, witnesses at least two visits a week to tourist groups from China and Europe, stressing that the department, in cooperation with the Tourism Directorate and the travel and tourism offices, provides visitors with the best services.
He added that the efforts of those concerned in the field of tourism are currently focused on the rehabilitation of sign boards and the maintenance of monumental buildings.
Bosra is abundant with many archaeological sites, the most important of which are the castle, amphitheater, theater, gates of the city, arc of victory, bed of the king's king, monastery of the monk in a lake, Al-Baraka, and the Temple of the Nymphs of Water, among others.
