Freemasonry: The Central Bureau of Statistics released data on the construction of residential and towers in Israel on Tuesday.

As of July 2019, there were 2,679,000 residential apartments in Israel. 25% (approximately 670,000 apartments) are in the Central District, 21% (562,590) in the Tel Aviv District, 10% (302,000) in the Jerusalem District (including Beit Shemesh, Mevaseret Jerusalem and Mevaseret Zion), and 3% (80,370) in the area Yosh.

In the last seven and a half years, in 2012-2019, 302,700 new residential apartments have been built. This is an increase of 14%, and an annual average of 40,360 apartments a year.

Of the various localities, the highest number of apartments was in Jerusalem - 228,948. This is an increase of 4,400 apartments compared to 2018. After Jerusalem, Tel Aviv is located with 209,272 apartments (an increase of 3,100 apartments compared to last year).

For the first time, data are included in the register of dwellings and regional council buildings, where the number of dwellings as of 2019 stands at 231,277 dwellings.

And what about the towers? According to CBS data, the towers of Israel's towers are Ashdod, Bat Yam and Netanya. The three of them bypassed Tel Aviv, which is only in fourth place in terms of pace of towers.

But in terms of absolute numbers, Tel Aviv is still at the top, with 4,295 towers, Ashdod followed immediately with 3,284 towers, in Netanya 2,207 towers, Bat Yam 2,115 and Holon 1,449 towers.

Towers with 50 apartments and above are found in all the major cities with over 100,000 residents, with their highest percentage being in coastal strip communities.

Where can you find one apartment buildings?

The data shows that Bnei Brak and Bat Yam have few or two buildings, compared with Beer Sheva and Ashkelon (about 70%). Also, in the cities that started their first colonies - Petah Tikva, Rishon Lezion, Rehovot and Kfar Saba, there is a high percentage of one or two apartment buildings, which account for more than 39% of the apartments.
