Tartus-Sana
The Syrian branch of trade in Tartous governorate continues to import the early agricultural crops from farmers and sell them directly to consumers without any increase in their prices, in the context of the Syrian policy of trade by positive intervention in the markets to break prices.
The director of the Syrian branch of trade in the governorate, Youssef Hassan, stated in a statement to the delegate of Sana that the goal of renting these crops directly from the farmers is to break the intermediary link between the farmer and the consumer and sell them directly at cost at the cost of the seven Syrian outlets for trade located within the popular markets that recently created in a number of regions and neighborhoods of the province Stressing that this step met with satisfaction and positive response from both the farmer and the consumer.
Hassan pointed out that work is being done in coordination with all Syrian branches of trade in the governorates to extract materials that are not available in the governorate, and vice versa to send the province's products to Damascus, its countryside, Hama, Lattakia and others.
A number of farmers who were present to sell their crops directly to the Syrian company for trade in the Sahel Akkar region pointed out that this positive step reflects the sense of responsibility of those concerned to provide good basic foodstuffs to the citizen at cost without any increase, according to the expression of the farmer George Hanna, adding .. that this process saves costs Transportation and the fees the farmer receives from 7 to 15 percent, which reduces the cost burdens on the farmer and contributes to a significant reduction in the price of the material for the consumer.
And Ayman Abbas, the farmer, said that it is not the first time that he sold his crops of tomato and eggplant to Syria for trade, stressing that he will continue to sell all his crops to them because this step is good and contributes to reducing the financial burden on the farmer and the citizen.
Hayyan Asaad, the farmer who sold Syria for trade today about 1,200 kilograms of tomato material, considered that the most important reasons for continuing this work is to provide the necessary support to the farmers first so that he can produce permanently, especially in light of the high prices of raw materials, including seeds, fertilizers and plastic slices.
