Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi David Lowe has made an unusual move for traditional observers that if they feel ill, even if they do not know whether they are coronary patients, they should not fast this Thursday, as part of the 16th anniversary of Tammuz. Fasting even in the absence of a clear diagnosis about Corona.

According to the new instructions, anyone whose body temperature is above 38 degrees will not set. Even those who have no fever but have symptoms of corona disease such as weakness, coughing, or having no taste and smell, will not last. Anyone who is positive to Corona, even though he feels good and has no symptoms, will not last. In contrast, the rabbi ruled that anyone who is in isolation and feels good should fast.

Those who are not fasting can eat as usual, and do not need to eat and drink "in classes", as is customary on Yom Kippur and Tisha B'Av. In addition, Rabbi Lau made it clear, there is no need to complete the claim at another time.

In doing so, Rabbi Lowe joins the halacha published earlier this week by Spanish Chief Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef. In his lesson, Rabbi Yosef said that Corona patients should not be fasting in Tammuz or Tisha B'Av.
