The Union of Train Drivers La Fraternidad announced an interruption of the train service between Retiro-Tigre-Capilla del Señor from 00 hours on Friday.

In a statement, the union announced that they took the measure "as a result of the permanent and systematic acts of insecurity that are generated on the maneuvering beaches of Victoria ."

They also allege that they are "illegally occupied by people outside the company, who by violating elementary security standards put the physical integrity of our affiliates at risk, on operational lands and under federal jurisdiction."

The text, which was released on social networks, indicated that "despite the claims made to guarantee the safety of the workers and the railway material, the company reports that the complaints have been made before the courts, without moment the pertinent legal actions have taken place ".

"The decision adopted by the union does not imply a Measure of Force, but rather of Protection to the Physical Integrity of the workers and the Safety of the Material and Infrastructure at risk, as long as the norms established in Law 2873 and the Technical Regulations are not respected , Operational and Security in force, "the statement concluded.

The leader of La Fraternidad,  Omar Maturano , said that the protest will continue until "the company offers guarantees and justice orders the vacating of the Victoria station area, which was taken over by people outside the company and prevents the tasks from being carried out" .

" The railway personnel are at risk due to the permanent events of insecurity on the maneuvering areas of Victoria station. The place is illegally occupied by people outside the company," said Maturano.

The leader, who is a member of the CGT's board of directors, explained that "it is about operational land and federal jurisdiction" and that "the situation is intolerable and cannot be held any longer."

"The railway workers have to permanently avoid possible collisions . The company does not offer security to continue the tasks. The measure will continue until the place is vacated," said the union member.
