The swimming pools will finally remain open and demonstrations will be authorized in Paris despite the new restrictions announced in the red zones, of which the capital is part, to cope with the upsurge of Covid-19, the police headquarters announced on Friday September 25.

In areas placed on "
heightened alert
" which include Paris and its inner suburbs, strong restrictive measures have been decided for a period of 15 days.
However, swimming pools, covered or not, and outdoor sports grounds "
will remain open under usual conditions
," the prefecture said in a statement, after conflicting information.
Another clarification, the ban on gatherings of more than 10 people on public roads "
does not apply to demonstrations of a protest nature, which must nevertheless be declared at the prefecture,
" the statement added.
The other measures announced this week by the government remain unchanged, in particular the closure of sports halls and gymnasiums or the closure of bars and restaurants from 10 p.m. from Monday.
