Dietramszell -

Robert Illner from the architecture office of the same name in Endlhausen had an “aha” experience when he was preparing for the groundbreaking ceremony for the new kindergarten in the Linden district of Dietramszell.

While rummaging through old documents, he came across a picture that showed little Robert as a Linden kindergarten child.

Around 40 years later, Illner was responsible for planning the new building.

At the small ceremony, Mayor Josef Hauser was pleased that it was primarily companies from the region who were awarded the 2.9 million euro project: In addition to the planner Illner, the Wolfratshaus-based construction company Krämmel, whose owner is responsible for the shell construction Reinhold Krämmel lives in Peretshofen.

Lorenz Weidinger, who is responsible for the planning of the building services, has his office in Geretsried, and the excavation work is done by the Baiernrain company Johann Gillhuber.

After we tendered and awarded 16 of the total of 24 trades, we are almost seven percent below the original cost estimate.

The good cooperation between the regional specialist companies has already paid off for the community, explained Illner: "After we have advertised and awarded 16 of the total of 24 trades, we are almost seven percent below the original cost estimate." When state funding for the major project the municipality promised around 1.4 million euros.

The kindergarten in Linden was built in 1976 and energetically renovated in 2010.

So far one group has been housed there, and a second in the old school building next to it.

Since September 2019, a third group has also been outsourced to the TSV Dietramszell sports center near the Leonhardikirche.

After the planned completion at the end of 2021, all three groups of 25 children will be accommodated in the new extension.

In addition, a multi-purpose room, a dining room and other social rooms will be created.

The offices for the kindergarten management are planned in the connecting building.

A day nursery will be housed in the old building. "I decided on the three parts of the building because they keep the village-like character of Linden," explained Illner.

In this way, the construction in the somewhat sloping terrain could be carried out with less earthwork and thus much easier.

A new kindergarten is also being built in Ascholding

Mayor Hauser gave an outlook on other community building projects.

The new kindergarten in Ascholding should be ready for occupancy in spring 2021.

In Linden, after the completion of the kindergarten, the renovation of the old school house will begin.

Four apartments are planned there, primarily for the kindergarten staff - an advantage for the community, which is increasingly suffering from attempts to poach other, financially better off, communities.

"It's good for us if we can then provide work-related apartments at normal rental prices," said the town hall chief.

Furthermore, according to Illner in Linden, the construction of a clubhouse between the kindergarten and the old schoolhouse is planned for the local rifle club, whose shooting range has also been housed in the old schoolhouse.

The latter could then find space in the basement, while club rooms are planned on the ground floor.

Ultimately, the Dietramszeller Zwergerl, another private kindergarten group, could also find accommodation there.
