Spokesman Mandelblit delivered his opinion to the Prime Minister regarding the prevention of conflicts of interest during his tenure • Among other things, this involves the appointment of senior members of the law enforcement system and Supreme Court judges.
Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit this evening (Monday) handed over to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu the conflict of interest settlement in his case.
The arrangement is intended to prevent Netanyahu from using his power to gain advantages in a trial in which he is accused of bribery, fraud and breach of trust.

The conflict of interest arrangement includes a letter from the Deputy Attorney General, Dina Zilber, detailing the prohibitions imposed on Netanyahu, and these deal with five issues: decisions concerning appointments in the law enforcement system (Attorney General, State Attorney and Commissioner);
Decisions concerning the appointment of judges to the Supreme Court and the Jerusalem District;
Decisions concerning witnesses or other defendants at trial;
Engaging in the field of activity of the Ministry of Communications that has an impact on the criminal case;
Prohibition of involvement in legislation that has an impact on criminal proceedings.
As mentioned, at the end of August, the Prime Minister announced that he would not deal with the issue of appointments.
