The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense in the Lebanese caretaker government, Zeina Aker, called on the United Nations to urgently intervene to put an end to Israeli violations of Lebanese sovereignty.
In a statement today, Akar pointed to the continuation of the daily and repeated violations of the Israeli enemy over the Lebanese airspace, stressing that they constitute clear violations of Resolution 1701, which establishes the rules of stability and security in southern Lebanon.
Akkar confirmed last September that Lebanon’s commitment to international resolutions does not mean giving up its right to defend its land and sovereignty against any Israeli aggression.
The Israeli enemy continues to violate Lebanon's airspace, its lands and its territorial waters, hitting all international norms and laws.
