It's time to replace the puppet theater in The Hague Israel today

The decision of the International Criminal Court in The Hague, which has the authority to hear complaints about alleged war crimes committed by Israel in "Palestine," will put the new US administration's attitude toward Israel to a real test of intent faster than expected.

Although the United States is not a member of this international court, it has so far treated the body that claims to defend "international law" with great hostility, but has become a tool of political clash.

Therefore, the United States could not flatten its position regarding the Palestinian Authority's political status in the legal proceedings that preceded the Hague decision.

The Biden administration - which wants to revive the concept of a "two-state solution" between Israel and the Palestinians, and has voiced support for the Palestinians' right to their own "sustainable" sovereign state - should also note that Trump's "deal of the century" included a vision to establish a Palestinian defense.

However, by actually joining the Palestinian Authority as a member state in the Hague Tribunal, which was carried out under the auspices of the Obama administration, there is a blatant violation of international agreements between Israel and the Palestinians.

The tribunal's decision to open a preliminary investigation into Israel's alleged war crimes on the basis of Palestine's membership in the tribunal will oblige the new democratic administration to clarify its position on the Hague tribunal and its position on the Palestinian Authority's political status.

Biden, in his first foreign policy speech, made it clear that "America is back," and that he is interested in resuming American activities in international organizations.

But, what does this "repetition" mean in relation to the court in The Hague?

Will Biden decide, contrary to his public attempts to appease international - and especially Western - public opinion, to continue in the line of confrontation of his predecessor, who banned the General Prosecutor of the Hague Tribunal from entering US territory?

Or will he choose to lower the flames in front of the International Court of Justice, which is also threatening investigations against US soldiers?

Will he choose to ignore the tribunal's decision and thus give a political impetus to the Palestinian Authority, or will he side with Israel, which claims that the PA has no state status?

Will he now choose a confrontation with the Palestinians or a confrontation with Israel, a month and a half before elections in which the government hopes to see the weakening and perhaps the replacement of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu?

Or will he just decide not to do anything, thus disappointing Israel?

The judges waited with the decision until Trump left

There is no doubt that the judges of the court in The Hague have been waiting with their decision regarding the opening of the investigation against Israel for the change of government in Washington.

Such a decision made today would have met with a very decisive response from Trump, had he been re-elected.

The judges of the tribunal decided to ignore the most reasoned positions put forward by representatives of several Western countries friendly to Israel, including Germany, that the Palestinian Authority has no state status and therefore the tribunal has no authority to conduct an investigation.

This disregard, with all the judicial sophistication of the judges - according to which, for example, their decision does not determine the borders of "Palestine", indicates the complete politicization of this alleged legal body.

A US administration that does not seek to reconcile with the enemies of the West would seize the opportunity to lead the West to a course of complete reform in the International Court of Justice as in other international bodies, under threat of dissolution of the tribunal.

But, the globalist approach of Biden and his people is contrary to this spirit.

Will the higher ideals give way to practical and realistic conduct?

Beyond the American response, it is to be hoped that other Western countries will also understand that the Hague Tribunal has become a puppet theater that invents a new international law in line with the political needs of those seeking to eliminate the valid international law.

Anyone who continues to be a member of this farce on the pretext that he wants to "reduce damage" becomes himself a partner in eliminating the West's ability to defend itself against its enemies.
