A hearing in the case of the brothers Tom and Elimelech Keshti, who were charged with assault causing actual damage and damage to property intentionally, is currently taking place in the Magistrate's Court in Tel Aviv.
The case that led to the filing of the indictment occurred about a year and a half ago, when the brothers attacked a security guard at the City Building in Ramat Gan.
As you may recall, Elimelech Keshti asked for a postponement of the hearing due to his participation in "Big Brother."
"We will defend our innocence following a character assassination they did to us," Tom Keshti said this morning.
"I'm sorry we got into the situation. There was one big misunderstanding. We are not murderers, they did a lot more than they really did. They took eight seconds and turned them into character assassinations. Beyond that already that day we became friends with the guard, two years have passed since then."
Elimelech said: "I have suffered indescribable image, mental and moral damage. I am so far paying a price for what happened, the truth will come out."

The indictment filed against the two stated that Elimelech grabbed the security guard by the throat and his brother Tom pushed him hard in the chest until he fell to the floor and his glasses broke.
All this happened because the brothers entered the building with an electric scooter and the security guard, according to the building guidelines, did not allow them to enter the building lobby with the scooter.
A violent argument ensued between the parties.
Since Elimelech Keshti entered the "Big Brother" house at the time, the two's defense attorneys filed a motion with the prosecution's consent to Elimelech's absence from the trial and his dismissal "due to personal circumstances to be disclosed at the hearing if necessary."
When the reason for Judge Alaa Masrawa was clarified, he ruled that it was an attitude of contempt of the accused in the ongoing legal proceedings.
"Today I was clarified the reason for the postponement. I will open and say that the request involves a great deal of arrogance. The court should not be presented with a fait accompli.
