The association KULTUR-gut!

starts a special project: children can paint, do handicrafts and write down how they feel about Corona.

This should become a book.

Freising - How do children feel about the corona pandemic and the lockdowns?

This is what the Freising association KULTUR-gut is interested in!

and has launched a project for this purpose.

Children should paint, draw and / or write down their experiences in the pandemic.

A book is to be created from the collected works under the title “Everything different - Corona and I”.

"Everyone suffers from the Corona restrictions, but children particularly suffer from the isolation and lack of communication with their peers," says Stefanie Gölz, chairwoman of KULTUR-gut !.

With the idea of encouraging these children, the idea for a special project arose.

A book is to be made out of the children's works

Boys and girls should use pictures, texts and handicrafts to express how they experience Corona: how they are doing, what they are missing, what gives them hope and joy.

The target group are children between 9 and 12 years of age.

"But younger siblings are also allowed to take part," emphasizes Stefanie Gölz.

A book is to be created from the works.

"It is important to us that in times when communication almost exclusively takes place digitally, we create something analogue and give the children something lasting," says the KULTUR-gut! Chairwoman.

Because every child who participates receives the illustrated book for free.

CULTURE-good!

also wants to support local businesses

Assessments by psychologists, who described the consequences of the lockdown as worrying, have confirmed Stefanie Gölz in her project.

Mayor Tobias Eschenbacher immediately agreed to take over the patronage.

And because CULTURE-good!

Want to support Freising companies during this difficult time, a local printing company receives the order to produce the books.

For the association, it is already the second special project in the pandemic.

In the past year, KULTUR-gut!

the CD “Alles anders” already set up, on which Freising musicians are gathered.

“After that we received a couple of large donations that enabled us to get active again,” reports Gölz.

In addition to the book, she is planning an exhibition with the works.

"That would be the light at the end of the tunnel, if an exhibition would mean the end of lockdown and a return to 'normal' life."
