The Zarba poultry facility in the southern countryside of Aleppo, by contracting with the General Company for Construction and Development, is implementing a project to rehabilitate sheds in the facility in preparation for putting them into service.
Engineer Muhammad Murad, director of the rehabilitation project of the Zarba poultry facility in southwestern Aleppo, told SANA that work is underway to rehabilitate 12 sheds in the facility in addition to rehabilitating the administration building with the aim of returning to production and securing the local market’s need, indicating that a contract has been signed with the General Company for Construction and Development to rehabilitate 7 sheds of The original 12 barns, worth 751 million pounds.
He indicated that the contract period is nine months and the completion rate has so far reached 65 percent of electrical, water and roof insulation works, and metal and glass looms are now being installed, pointing out that the seven pens will be divided into 4 pens for raising laying hens to produce table eggs and 3 pens for raising broilers.
He explained that the staff of the Zarba poultry facility is rehabilitating the remaining pens, and the completion rate has reached 20 percent of the roof insulation works and the removal of debris and dirt.
Najmuddin Hamadeh, one of the cadres of the Zarba poultry facility, stressed the importance of rehabilitating the facility after its destruction by terrorism, so that it would return to what it was previously to support the local market with egg and chicken products.
