Essonne: the car falls three meters and lands in the garden of a house!

2021-03-30T17:28:31.295Z

This spectacular accident, which took place in Montgeron on Tuesday, left three minor injuries. The driver, a minor, did not have the license

On this Tuesday noon, Ali (the first name has been changed) is sipping his coffee at the bar-PMU on the Place de l'Oly, in Montgeron (Essonne), when he hears "a big shock".

He runs towards the road and glances down where his house is located.

He then witnesses this unthinkable scene: a car swerved and lodged three meters below, overturned on its side, in his neighbor's garden.

In passing, she broke down the fence by the side of the road, knocked down Ali's gate and broke a section of wall in the alley of the Capucines.

"She first fell on my van parked downstairs," explains Ali, working orange vest on her back.

In fact, it is a miracle that there are no serious injuries.

If it hadn't bounced off my vehicle, it was the direct grave!

Of the five young occupants of the fast-moving car, according to Ali, three were slightly injured.

The driver flees before finally surrendering

The driver and a passenger first fled, said a police source.

The minor driving, who obviously does not have a driving license, "finally went in the afternoon", indicates the mayor (LR) of Montgeron, Sylvie Carillon.

This Tuesday afternoon, the municipal police force is present in number on the spot.

A tow truck extracts the car from the garden under the puzzled eye of passers-by.

The road exit occurred just after the N6 bridge, rue Raymond-Paumier, after the traffic lights.

“When we heard the noise, with other residents, we immediately went to help them get out of the car and see if everyone was okay, says Ali.

Finally, they got out of the car before the firefighters arrived.

Young people from the Place de l'Oly also came to give us a hand.

The local resident has especially thought of his neighbor, "who was all alone and who could have been in his garden".

"We took him out of the window of his house," he continues.

You never know: the car can catch fire, explode… ”

Ali can only see the damage.

The windshield of his truck is smashed, he has no gates and his wall is in pieces.

Fortunately, it's just material, he notes, philosopher.

However, I called my insurance, but they said:

Unfortunately, you don't have the option: a car has entered my gate.

»He reserves the right to file a complaint against the driver.

Sylvie Carillon also made the trip to the Allée des Capucines this afternoon.

"CCTV cameras are being exploited", indicates the elected.

A fence not secure enough?

During his meeting with the mayor, Ali was able to evoke the fragility of the palisade of the rue Raymond-Paumier, too easily destroyed by the car launched at high speed.

“The previous owner told me that it had already happened three times, he worries.

We have to concrete this place.

If tomorrow a truck loaded with flammable materials falls, what will happen?

"The car must have gone really hard because, behind the fence, there are also iron poles every two meters", answers Sylvie Carillon.

In February 2019, another spectacular road accident took place in Essonne.

A car had fallen backwards on the rails of the RER C near Savigny-sur-Orge.

In the middle of the afternoon, a train conductor had stopped in time to report the object that had fallen on the tracks.

No one was present in the vehicle.
