On the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the Day of the Syrian Arab Student, the Executive Office of the National Union of Syrian Students this evening held a central ceremony on the runway of the Faculty of Human Medicine at the University of Damascus, during which work was launched on several student service projects.

The service projects for students included an electronic portal “Citizen Service Center electronically” through which all students' transactions can be completed electronically, including paying university fees, obtaining documents for “university life, revealing marks and postponing military service” in addition to an electronic application on the mobile “Zanga” to facilitate communication and interaction between students The Union will contribute to solving the problems they encounter during their academic career, as well as creating a center at the University of Damascus to support students' scientific and professional paths and attract entrepreneurs with ideas and projects.

Dr. Bassam Ibrahim, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, referred in a speech to the prominent and important role of the National Union of Syrian Students at all local, regional and international levels to clarify the national approach and positions and stand by the Syrian Arab Army in confronting all forms of terrorism.

For his part, Dr. Ammar Saati, member of the central leadership of the Arab Socialist Baath Party, head of the Youth Office, confirmed that the National Union of Syrian Students has been for decades and remains the crucible that incubates the aspirations of young people in Syria and their visions, noting the sacrifices made by the students who carried the book in one hand and the weapon in the other hand and obtained the certificate within years The terrorist war that Syria was subjected to in defense of the homeland and its gains.

In turn, Darine Suleiman, President of the National Union of Syrian Students, considered that the high vitality and spirit of renewal that characterizes the National Union of Syrian Students in the most difficult circumstances is nothing but evidence that the principles do not calcify or die as long as they are carried by renewed blood and live sap that runs in the veins of those who are sincere to belong to the homeland.

The ceremony, which included the presentation of documentary films, theatrical and lyrical performances on the occasion, was attended by the Minister of Education, Dr. Darem Tabbah, Dr. Mohsen Bilal, member of the Central Command of the Arab Socialist Baath Party, Head of the Higher Education Office, a number of members of the People's Assembly, faculty members in the College of Medicine, and partisan, union, cultural and scientific events.

In Homs, the branch of Al-Baath University of the National Union of Syrian Students held a party in the university square on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the Syrian Arab Student Day.

Dr. Abdul Basit Al-Khatib, President of Al-Baath University, confirmed in a statement to SANA that the students are the pillar of the homeland and its future, and that building the homeland depends on them.

In turn, the head of the Student Union branch at Al-Baath University, Ali Hammadi, stated that the students celebrate the Syrian Arab Student’s Day with pride and pride and are looking forward to building their country with science and knowledge, stressing that the National Union of Syrian Students works to develop everything related to students in various service, social, cultural, artistic and educational aspects. Believing in the importance of building the Syrian student, who was and still is distinguished and pioneering in all scientific fields and holding the flag of his country high.

The two students, Lilian Dayoub and Abdul Ghafoor Al-Alaiwi, expressed their happiness and feeling of pride on this occasion, which confirms that the students are the generation that will build Syria, and considered that launching many electronic applications will contribute to supporting their scientific and cognitive journey.
