Five young people - four minors and one adult - were placed in police custody following a series of urban violence that took place on Saturday April 3 evening in the Madeleine district in Evreux.

The incidents began around 10 p.m. and ended a little over two hours later, in this neighborhood considered to be sensitive.
Garbage fires have alternated with seizures from the police who have come under fire with fireworks mortars and Molotov cocktails, according to a source close to the investigation.
On social networks, calls to meet had been launched in order to do battle that night with the police, in retaliation for an arrest that occurred two days earlier, the same source explained. .

Six young people, aged 12 to 20, were quickly arrested, according to the prosecution.
The youngest was released in the morning.

He announced the sending "
of an exceptional reinforcement of 73
" people to Evreux as of this night "in
order to ensure respect for the republican order
".
