In the Khan Sheikhoun area in the countryside of Idlib liberated from terrorism, an automated bakery and a sales hall belonging to the Syrian Trade Corporation opened today, after they were rehabilitated from the damage they suffered as a result of terrorism.

The Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, Talal Al-Barazi, said during the opening that the opening of the bakery and the hall and the launch of their work in Khan Sheikhoun comes within the framework of the government's directions to restore life and services to areas liberated from terrorism and to secure the needs of the people returning to their homes.

Director of the Syrian Establishment for Bakeries Ziad Hazaa praised the great efforts made to put Khan Sheikhoun bakery into service and meet the needs of the returning people, indicating that the cost of equipping the production lines, electrical transformer and the well for the bakery exceeded 275 million pounds.

In turn, Jamal Hasouni, director of the Idlib branch of bakeries, said that the Khan Sheikhoun bakery began producing bread on an experimental basis with a capacity of 6 tons per day and is able to increase its production capacity up to 12 tons in light of the increase in the number of families returning to the area.

For his part, Noureddine Derbas, director of the Syrian branch of trade in Idlib, explained that the opening of the sales hall in the region secures the people's need for food and supply commodities at prices lower than their counterparts in the market by a rate ranging between 25 and 40 percent.

The opening was attended by the Governor of Idlib, Muhammad Ntouf, and Osama Fadl, the Secretary of the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party.

In the same context, the Syrian Trade Corporation has put the Deir Baalba hall in Homs into service after rehabilitating it from the damage it suffered as a result of terrorism and supplying it with various necessary materials and commodities.

During his tour, the Minister of Trade visited the Syrian Trade Center in Rastan and viewed the rehabilitation work that is taking place in the Rastan bakery, which was destroyed as a result of terrorism. He also inspected the suburb’s bakery in Homs and its workflow.

The Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection indicated in a press statement that the tour comes to follow up the work of the Syrian trade outlets and bakeries in a number of regions, indicating that the automated bakery Rastan has been rehabilitated from the construction point of view and the civil works have been fully completed. Syrian outlets for trade.

Al-Barazi added that the Deir Baalba hall has also been rehabilitated and secured with basic materials, stressing the constant follow-up of the work of bakeries and optimal investment in them, and preparing a study to develop better incentives and compensation for bakery and mill workers who make exceptional efforts and long working hours under the current circumstances.

For his part, the Director General of the Syrian Company for Bakeries stated that work is continuing to rehabilitate the bakeries affected by terrorism in Homs and its countryside, as the infrastructure in the Rastan bakery has been completed and a plan has been developed to support and better equip the remaining bakeries, including Palmyra bakery and the two villages.

Ahmed Najm, Director General of the Syrian Trade, indicated that during the tour, the works in a number of halls were viewed, including the Al-Rastan hall, pointing to the work to open a second hall in the Rastan area to meet the needs of all citizens.

Hassan Omran, the supervisor of the rehabilitation operations of the Rastan bakery, indicated that the rehabilitation and construction processes are continuing, and more than seventy percent of the works have been completed so far.
