Petah Tikva Magistrate's Court Judge Dror Kleitman today (Monday) convicted Liraz Natan, who was an assistant to the "abusive kindergarten teacher" Carmel Meuda, of assaulting nursery school children aged 3 months to 3 years.

Nathan is accused of assaulting five children in the "Baby Law" kindergarten, which she has always operated in Rosh HaAyin.

According to the indictment, Nathan beat the children, dragged them, slapped them on the floor and more.

At the beginning of the affair, an indictment was filed only against Meuda.

However, after police investigators watched more and more videos from the kindergarten cameras, they noticed that Nathan also attacked the soft-spoken children.

Nathan was interrogated and released to her home, in contrast to the detention that her detention was extended until the end of the proceedings.

It was later decided to file an indictment against Natan as well, but it was filed in the Magistrate's Court and not in the District Court, as was done with Meuda.

During the evidentiary hearings, the plaintiff in the case presented the videos to the court, which provoked angry reactions from the parents of the children present in the courtroom.

Nathan made sure to come to the hearings accompanied by the security guards she hired, due to fears that the toddlers' parents would try to harm her.

In one of the hearings, one of the activists did attack her in the courtyard of the court when she pulled her hair, but the security guards at the scene immediately rescued Nathan.

Judge Kleitman noted in his decision: "After watching the videos, I came to the conclusion that the accuser proved the defendant's guilt."

The judge described how Nathan sat on one of the toddlers.

He referred to another video: "It can be seen that the defendant grabs a toddler's hands and uses force to seat her."

On another video, the judge wrote: "As can be seen, the defendant sits a minor and uses his shirt, puts it on the back of the chair so that he cannot move from the chair - and indeed the minor can be seen trying to move and failing."

Regarding another video, the judge noted: "It can be seen that the defendant is being beaten by a minor. The minor's reaction indicates pain caused to him by the assault."

The decision read another video: "It can be seen that she is pushing bread according to the minor. You can see that the minor defecated on a piece of paper and was forbidden to move away. In watching the video, you can see him holding the minor tightly and dragging him."
