Palestine's permanent representative to the United Nations, Riyad Mansour, called on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities and stop the Israeli occupation's attacks on the Palestinians, their sanctities and property, stressing that they constitute a flagrant violation of international law and the international legitimacy resolution.
In letters addressed to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the President of the Security Council and the President of the United Nations General Assembly, Mansour explained that the occupation forces continue their crimes and violations against the Holy Mosque by imposing an enforced siege on it and preventing Palestinians from visiting Al-Aqsa Mosque, as yesterday they attacked Palestinian worshipers after they left the prayer. Near the Al-Amoud Gate, one of the old gates of Jerusalem, which led to the injury of a number of them.
Mansour called on the international community to adhere to international law and implement the relevant Security Council resolutions, stressing the need for the international community to immediately put pressure on the occupation to stop its violations and attacks on the holy sites.
