The question of what happens to the building at Bürgermeister-Germeier-Strasse 2 in Poing-Süd, where the old Rewe store was housed, has been clarified:

Poing - Four barrier-free apartments as well as a veterinarian and a physiotherapy practice are being built on the ground floor.

These plans were presented on Tuesday evening at the meeting of the building and environment committee of the municipal council - the committee members unanimously gave the municipal agreement.

The owners have applied for the conversion of the former Rewe store (the new one is about 500 meters north, at the new railway underpass) into a mixed use of four residential units and two practice units on the ground floor. The previous residential use remains on the upper and attic floors (four apartments each). Originally, the owners wanted to convert the entire ground floor into apartments. However, this is not possible according to the development plan valid for this area, as commercial units are also required here on the ground floors.

According to the planning that has now been submitted for the ground floor of the Bürgermeister-Germeier-Straße 2 property, the four barrier-free apartments have a living space of 53.80 to 80.80 square meters, a total of 253.10 square meters. 165 square meters are planned for the veterinary practice and 145.10 square meters for the physical practice.
