Palestinian prisoner Ghazanfar Abu Atwan continues his open hunger strike for the 65th consecutive day and drinking water for the fifth day in protest against the continuous crimes of the Israeli occupation against Palestinian prisoners amid a serious deterioration in his health.

Wafa Agency stated that the prisoner's health condition is seriously deteriorating, and that he suffers from severe weakness and severe pain in the chest, back and abdomen, and has lost the ability to move his lower limbs and faces the risk of sudden death or permanent disability.

The Palestinian Prisoners Club warned earlier that every hour that passes threatens the life of the prisoner Abu Atwan, who suffers from a severe shortage of fluids in the body, which would stop the functions of his vital organs at any moment, calling on the international community to pressure the occupation to release him immediately and save his life. Before it's too late.

The occupation forces arrested 28-year-old Abu Atwan from Dura in Hebron last October and took him to one of its detention centers amid harsh detention conditions, as the occupation practices deliberate medical negligence against about 5,300 prisoners, which caused the death of dozens inside its prisons or shortly after leaving them.
