Weather in Bavaria: Acid rain threatens in some parts of the Free State
Monday started in many places with thick fog and visibility below 150 meters, writes the German Weather Service (DWD). The last drops of rain are still falling in the Upper Palatinate and Lower Bavaria. There it can get wet and even thunderstorm again and again in the afternoon. Otherwise it remains cloudy in many places and still warm. In many cities in the Free State, the thermometer climbs again to 22 degrees. New rain * moves into the country from the west during the night. Individual drops can fall in Lower and Middle Franconia. The values drop to twelve to 14 degrees.
In the rainy areas, there may be a phenomenon on Monday that many may still be familiar with from the 1980s - acid rain.

This is particularly harmful to plants and trees, but the substance of buildings can also be attacked by the mixture.
However, the cloud does not last long over the Free State.
