The Family Court in Tel Aviv held a hearing this morning (Friday) in the case of the boy Eitan Biran, the survivor of the cable car disaster in Italy.

For a hearing on whether Eitan was abducted from Italy by his grandfather, Italian officials arrived to testify in court.

A spokesman for the Peleg family said that relations between the families were normal.

The discussions will continue next week.

The hearing takes place at the request of Dr. Aya Biran-Nirko, the boy's aunt who requests that the court declare that he was abducted by his grandfather Shmuel Peleg to Israel. At the end of the previous hearing, the representatives of the parties said: "

As you may recall, about a month ago, grandfather Shmuel Peleg transferred the six-year-old boy whose parents and brother were killed in a cable car accident in Italy on a private flight to Israel.

Peleg was subsequently questioned in the Central District Police Fraud Unit on suspicion of abducting a minor under the age of 16 and was released on restrictive conditions.

Italian media reported that the city police, Fabia, had also opened an investigation against Peleg, on suspicion of kidnapping under aggravated circumstances.

Aya Biran, the aunt of the boy's father who came to Israel, asks the court through her attorney, Adv. Avi Chimi, to return the child to Italy under the Hague Convention to return abducted children to their homeland.
