Investigations into alleged irregularities in the financing of Open, the foundation created to support the political initiatives of Matteo Renzi, have been closed by the prosecutor of Florence.
11 persons under investigation are recipients of the notice of conclusion of the investigations, including the current leader of Italia Viva Matteo Renzi, Maria Elena Boschi, Luca Lotti, the former president of Open Alberto Bianchi and the entrepreneur Marco Carrai.
Four companies are also involved in the investigation.
Among the crimes contested in various capacities in the investigation are the illegal financing of political parties, corruption, money laundering, trafficking of influences.
