The Puget-sur-Argens oil site is strategic because it supplies part of the Côte d'Azur, including Nice airport and certain service stations in the Alpes-Maritimes.
The sub-prefect of Draguignan was there in the morning, as were the gendarmes of Var.
However, the movement seemed to run out of steam at the end of the morning.

After 11 am, the police seemed determined to dislodge the demonstrators who were only about thirty on the spot, still notes France 3. As the third anniversary of the movement approaches, the yellow vests are calling for " resumption of roundabouts ”throughout the territory, in reaction to the rise in fuel prices, a battle they waged their debut at the end of 2019.
If it has never completely disappeared, despite shortness of breath and a pause at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, the movement is now looking for a new lease of life.
