The workshops of the Directorate of Traffic and Transportation Engineering in Damascus Governorate removed the irregular occupants used to reserve allocated and unallocated parking lots in front of shops, restaurants and residential homes in a number of areas of the city.

The Director of Traffic and Transportation Engineering in Damascus Governorate, Engineer Yasser Bastouni, said in a statement to SANA that the irregular occupancies were removed from iron barriers, chains, tires and everything that impeded the movement of cars and their parking in the city streets, in the areas of Al-Qusour, Al-Adawi, Al-Ghassani, Al-Abbasis, Al-Shaalan and Abu Rummaneh, pointing out that the workshops Continuing to remove these irregular occupations to include all regions.

The Director of Traffic Engineering called on the owners of shops, restaurants and residential homes to remove all reservation means used for designated or unallocated parking lots, such as poles, iron barriers, tires, and basins, and the necessity of adhering to the traffic sign and road signs in which the parking was specified when allocating.

According to Bastouni, the Traffic and Transport Engineering Directorate has allocated the mobile number 0995673831 so that owners of cars assigned to regular parking spaces can communicate with those concerned in the directorate to report any complaint in the event that any car is parked in their parking areas, so that the treatment can be carried out directly and the organization of violations in accordance with the regulations and laws.
