The Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Homs has organized numerous catering seizures against a number of violating commercial activities.
The director of internal trade, Eng. Rami Al-Youssef, told SANA that the seizures lasted for a violation of dealing with subsidized fuel oil intended for bakeries, with an amount of 1,310 liters, against a gas station in the village of Umm Jbab, and a violation of trafficking in subsidized ration bread for a purpose other than its intended purpose, by drying it and selling it as fodder in an amount of 330 kg against Warehouse in the Armenian Quarter.
Al-Youssef added that the arrests also included a violation of the use of subsidized food bread for a purpose other than its intended purpose, against a restaurant in the town of Talbiseh, a violation of the production and packaging of poorly-made supply bread against a bakery in the village of al-Buwayda al-Gharbiya, and a violation of underweight and every two ties within one nylon bag against bakeries in the Muhajireen neighborhoods and Dahiyat al-Basil.
Al-Yousef pointed out that the seizures also included a violation of dealing with meat slaughtered outside approved slaughterhouses and not affixed with official seals against shops in the Al-Insha’at neighborhood and the towns of Hasya and Al-Manzol, and a violation of offering the meat of Awassi female sheep for sale without approval and slaughtering it outside approved slaughterhouses against a shop in the town of Hasya.
Al-Youssef added that the seizures also included violations of possession and display of materials for sale of unknown origin against shops in the towns of Na’ara and Marmarita, possession and display of children’s shoes for sale that did not carry a statement card against a shop in the village of Al-Zohouriya, and practicing the profession of selling shoes without obtaining a license against a shop in Bab Sba’ neighborhood.
