The Unterallgäu district office and the team at the vaccination center want to put a stop to this in cooperation with the municipalities.
"From now on, only citizens of the relevant community or administrative community will be vaccinated at the appointments of the mobile teams," says coordinating doctor Dr. Carola Winkler. Anyone who comes to an appointment with the mobile vaccination team must now show their identity card to prove that they come from the local area. Because: "The mobile vaccinations are primarily intended for people who do not have the opportunity to come to the vaccination center in Bad Wörishofen," says Winkler. However, since appointments have been made again in the vaccination center, people who want to be vaccinated sometimes travel from municipality to municipality in order to be vaccinated without an appointment, according to observations in the district office.
In future, the appointments of the mobile teams will only be announced via the respective municipality and the local media - the data has been removed from the district's website.
Some municipalities, for example Türkheim, have already introduced termination.
Winkler explains why the large masses cannot be vaccinated in the mobile teams: “On the one hand, we can only assign staff to a limited extent here - we need the rest of the staff in the vaccination center.
On the other hand, there are currently again problems to obtain vaccine.
So we have to make a budget here too. "
The vaccination tourism is also noticeable in the vaccination center in Bad Wörishofen - and here, too, countermeasures should be taken: Since the second vaccination is possible there without an appointment, many people come from other districts so that they can be fully immunized as quickly and easily as possible.
Winkler makes it clear: "We only give people a second vaccination who have already received their first vaccination in our vaccination center or via a mobile vaccination team at our vaccination center."
In response to our editorial team's question as to whether sending away those willing to vaccinate could not be interpreted as a false sign, the district office's press office made it clear that the mobile vaccination teams were a service for their citizens booked by the municipalities.
