The Public Establishment for Drinking Water in Hama Governorate is completing the rehabilitation works of the traction lines in the Shomariya and Rastan regions, which feed about 200,000 residents of Salamiyah and some of the population centers.
The director of the foundation, Dr. Eng. Muti’ Abshi, explained that the rehabilitation process began a few days ago and aims to prevent waste, remove violations, and repair “air scourers and washing” for the two traction lines in the Shumariya area, in addition to the Al-Rastan traction line feeding the city of Salamiyah through the Qantara station, which has been out of service for more than ten years as a result of attacks Armed terrorist organizations.
Abashy explained that the Al-Rastan line is made of flexible font and is one kilometer long, expecting that the rehabilitation process will be completed within days.
