The case involved a 38-year-old male patient (case 12448) living in Block 2, Haitao Bay, 38 Cherry Street, Tai Kok Tsui. He arrived in Hong Kong from Doha, Qatar via flight QR818 on November 30. He tested positive and carried L452R. Mutated virus strains.

According to the authorities, for the sake of prudence, the places he has lived and visited in Hong Kong during the incubation period have been included in the mandatory testing announcement.

The Center for Health Protection of the Department of Health announced today (2nd) that as of 0:00 on December 2, the center is investigating six confirmed cases of the new crown virus. So far, the total number of cases in Hong Kong is 12,446 (including 12,445 confirmed cases and one suspected case). ).

The case involved five men and one woman, aged between 22 and 60. Five persons arrived in Hong Kong from a designated area in Group A (high risk), and one person arrived in Hong Kong from a designated area in Group B (medium risk).

Among them, the patient with case number 12447 arrived in Hong Kong from Pakistan via the United Arab Emirates on flight EK384 on November 21. He was a close member of 7 imported cases (cases 12411, 12412, 12413, 12437, 12438, 12439 and 12443). The contact was diagnosed at the Penny's Bay Quarantine Center.

In the remaining cases, three of them tested positive at the temporary sample collection center of Hong Kong International Airport on the "pending test" test results, and the other two were diagnosed during the quarantine period.

Block 2, Haitaowan, Tai Kok Tsui was included in the mandatory inspection.

The case involved a 38-year-old male patient (case 12448) who lives in Block 2, Haitao Bay, 38 Cherry Street, Tai Kok Tsui, and went to Doha, Qatar on November 9th. He was tested on November 8th before leaving Hong Kong and the result was negative. Afterwards, he arrived in Hong Kong via flight QR818 from Doha, Qatar on November 30, and took samples at the temporary sample collection center upon arrival, and the test result was positive.

The patient has no symptoms, a Ct value greater than 30, and a variant strain of L452R. N501Y and E484K were negative.

He was vaccinated with two doses of Fubital vaccine in Hong Kong on June 20 and September 12 respectively.

According to the authorities, for the sake of prudence, the places he has lived and visited in Hong Kong during the incubation period have been included in the mandatory testing announcement. Anyone who has been in the relevant specified places during the specified period must undergo mandatory testing on designated days.
