At the outset of his summit meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi today, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia considers India a great power with friendly people.
Media quoted Putin as saying, "We consider India a great power with friendly people and a wonderful history of relations with us." For the first time this year, it increased by more than 38 percent.
Putin noted that the two countries are working on developing relations in the military field, conducting joint exercises, and intending to continue working in this direction.
For his part, Modi said that India and Russia continue to enhance cooperation in the fields of defense and space, stressing the importance of the agreements concluded between the two countries in various fields.
