The emotional speech and poem and the atmosphere of Christmas added warmth to the poetry festival organized by the Cultural Center in Homs entitled (The Virgin in the Eyes of the Poets).

The festival, which was organized in cooperation with the Qardaha Cultural Forum, is considered an annual tradition, as it was previously held in many governorates to land in the city of Homs and in front of its audience.

The festival began with the poet Issa Al-Ibrahim with a vertical poem that tells about the Virgin and her newborn and contains some ideas about the journey of Christ.

The poet Nidaa Hussein participated in a vertical poem entitled (The Virgin Lady), in which the Virgin Mary survived to intercede for the weary and suffering on earth and to pray for us, for fear in our depths builds homes.

The poet Ghassan Dalloul had a poem entitled (The Virgin and the Child of the Cave) in which he used the simple method that is close to the recipient, expressing his hope that the joy of the holidays will be renewed, peace will spread and fill hearts, and our homeland will return to a land of peace and security.

Poet Sarah Khair Bey read a patriotic poem entitled (My Beloved Country), in which she talked about the prophets’ call to spread love and peace and the Syrians’ adherence to their unity in the face of what is being plotted against them. The poet Mohsen Ghanem presented a sentimental prose poem entitled (I run away from you) in which a state of love, love and infatuation was manifested.

The poet Nora Al-Younis recited a prose poem entitled (On the Birth of Light), in which she indicated that existence was glorified by the birth of Jesus Christ and the lofty human values ​​that he brought to humanity and a call to renounce hostility and spread peace.

The poet Ammar Merhej, director of the Qardaha Cultural Forum, presented a poem entitled (The Birth of Jesus Christ) that addressed the meanings of celebrating the Messenger of Wishes and the Wise of the Earth.

The event concluded with honoring the Greek Orthodox Metropolitan George Abu Zakhem, Metropolitan of Homs and its dependencies, for his role in humanitarian and civil work during the war on Syria.
