Bad Tölz

– Major construction projects are casting their shadows: this year, the first preparatory work for the construction of the northern bypass around Bad Tölz will be carried out.

Tree felling is currently on the agenda.

This will require short-term closures of the B 472 this Wednesday.

Five months after the ground-breaking ceremony: deforestation for the northern bypass

On August 19th, the groundbreaking ceremony for the north clasp took place.

However, that was only a symbolic act with the then Transport Minister Andreas Scheuer.

Because the first work only began in autumn 2021 in the area between the railway line and the residential complex on Lettenholz.

"In addition to the demolition of the allotment garden, the clearing work between Allgaustrasse and Sachsenkamer Strasse was also started," according to the Weilheim State Building Authority in a press release.

Section to be completed by the end of 2025

The tree felling has now progressed so far that several large beeches are waiting to be felled directly at the junction of Sachsenkamer Straße and the B 472. These are to be recut this Wednesday, January 19, from 9 a.m. For safety reasons, traffic must be stopped for a short time until trunks and branches have been cleared from the road. The complete closure will be implemented by the Bad Tölz road maintenance department. The closures last only three to four minutes, the State Building Authority estimates. "This should keep the obstructions within limits and the traffic situation should quickly normalize again." The felling should be completed by the evening rush hour. There are a total of nine to ten trees in the critical area along Sachsenkamer Straße. The building authority asks for your understandingthat temporary traffic delays may occur during the work. For reasons of road safety, these are unavoidable. Proper construction will begin next year on the northern bypass. The section is expected to be completed by the end of 2025. The investment costs currently amount to around 48 million euros.
