He appeared to the audience as a director with the children's series Once Upon a Time and then with the Poppy series. Then he presented his first work in the field of environment with Ayyam Shamiya in 1992 and directed the historical work Al-Ababid in 1996, after which he specialized in Levantine drama. He directed a series of works that achieved great success from Al-Khawali, Layali Al-Salihiya and Bab Al-Hara, who directed Al-Mulla in its first five parts and supervised its output until the ninth part, and achieved unprecedented mass successes through it.

Al-Mulla won several awards at the Cairo and Tunis festivals for his work Al-Abid and Bab Al-Hara, which was chosen among the ten most viewed works in the world for the year 2009.
