Thanks to a big tax plus, the municipality of Putzbrunn can approach its major projects in a relaxed manner this year.

An overview.

Putzbrunn

– A new home for the elderly and children, a large residential area, a grammar school and the expansion of the commercial area east: the municipality of Putzbrunn has big plans for this year.

Thanks to a surprisingly large increase in trade tax, Mayor Edwin Klostermeier (SPD) can also look forward to the ambitious projects with more ease.

high school

The ground-breaking ceremony for the new high school on Oedenstockacher Straße in the Waldkolonie district is scheduled to take place at the end of this year or the beginning of next year.

The architectural competition has ended, and the winning concept convinced everyone involved.

The building for a maximum of 900 students must be completed by the start of the school year in autumn 2025.

Apartments

The apartments on Parkstraße have now been occupied, and the municipality has 22 of the 56 apartments. They are specially designed for municipal employees and can be bought at an average of ten euros per square meter.

This year they want to tackle the new construction area south of Oedenstockach between Keferloher-Marktstrasse and Flurstrasse.

The previous agricultural area with 6700 square meters will be a purely residential area for about a hundred new citizens.

The municipality will also take action here itself and has set three million euros in the 2022 budget for this purpose.

Home for the elderly and children

However, new residential areas also mean more people moving in and the need for the appropriate infrastructure.

Therefore, the municipal council recently decided to build a new senior citizens' and children's home with kindergarten and crèches.

It will be built at the bus station, but despite several meetings and presentations, the municipal council has not yet been able to agree on a final concept and has now arranged a workshop.

You don't want to put the project on the back burner.

Construction is due to start this year.

When it comes to childcare, there is less a space problem than a staffing problem.

The community still had 56 free places in the crèches and kindergartens, but only 309 could be filled due to the lack of staff.

Even a large number of job advertisements have so far not been successful.

industrial Estate

The commercial area east is to continue to grow.

For better connections, Hermann-Oberth-Strasse will be extended to the roundabout on state road 2079. The 2.7-hectare commercial area between Grasbrunner Strasse in the north and the A99 motorway in the south, which was decided on in 2019, is bordered on the east by the state road 2079, is to be realized in two construction phases.

A start will be made this year.

More staff

The municipal staff will have one new employee for taxes and one for the building yard/fire brigade.

Therefore, personnel expenses also increase slightly to 5.5 million euros.

Subject to reservation and depending on the funding conditions, a climate manager is also to be hired.

Trade tax plus

Mayor Edwin Klostermeier is confident: "We have reserves of a good twelve million euros and can still afford a lot." The main reason is the trade tax, which has risen enormously to over 15.7 million euros.

Treasurer Karola Schulz had only expected 8.5 million euros.

Therefore, the reserves were also increased significantly.
