It is the fourth fatal accident in less than a year: Another wolf died in a traffic accident in Bavaria.
Munich – It is the fourth fatal accident within a year: a wolf has been run over again in Bavaria.
This was announced by the Bavarian State Office for the Environment.
Accordingly, the traffic police in Amberg reported the discovery of a dead wolf-like animal on the A6 near Leuchtenberg (Neustadt an der Waldnaab district) on January 30th.
According to the results of the genetic analysis, it is a young female wolf from the Veldenstein Forest.
The animal is being examined at the Leibnitz Institute for Zoo and Wildlife Research in Berlin.
This is considered the nationwide reference point for the investigation of dead wolves.
