Assaf Goren is known as a veteran reality participant, who took part in a variety of reality shows in Israel and around the world, and even won two of them - Big Brother VIP and Ninja Israel VIP.
Alongside this, he is also known for his unique style of performance on stage as he dances with tassels and shofar, wrapped in a tallit and displays wigs for long life that have become his trademark.
But yesterday (Sunday) Goren managed to surprise his 144,000 followers on Instagram when he posted a post documenting a dramatic move: trimming his wigs.

"Evolve or Die", opened the text that accompanied the series of photos and video documenting the act of shearing.
"Change is inevitable. Either you grow and change or life will force you to change."
He said he decided on a particularly symbolic date to remove the wigs.
"On 2.2.22 I decided to take off the wigs that have accompanied me for the past two years," he shared.
"I realized with myself that from now on I choose to put the emphasis on what is happening to me in my heart and soul, and less on external cues on which I was dependent," he shared with his followers the reason for the upheaval.
"My real work starts from the inside and not the outside. And the most amazing part? It all happens right away. That night I got a phone call that led me to make further changes for myself and the little family we are building, which I promise to tell later. Now we are in Los Angeles and heart with you." Goren signed the text.

In a video accompanying the photo series, Goren, 30, went on to explain the choice: "If you think your appearance is something important, you're stupid," he told the camera in English wearing a white tank top revealing muscles as he stroked his wigs for the last time.
"Right now I'm a little scared" he shared in the moments before the decree act.
"I took my appearance too seriously and I think I was wrong. I want to concentrate on my art, my creativity, my being and the message I want to convey to people. I gave too much weight to my appearance. I tried too hard to be different."
Were we wrong?
