Today, the Ministry of Health signed two memoranda of understanding with the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The first memorandum included matters related to the development of cooperation in the field of health care, medical and health education, scientific research, technology, medicines and medical equipment, while the second memorandum included strengthening scientific, health and medical cooperation, especially the development of drug cooperation and medical equipment and the exchange of experiences.
In a statement to reporters, Health Minister Dr. Hassan Al-Ghubash stressed the importance of the two memoranda of understanding, which would benefit the two countries in several areas, most notably the exchange of medicines, the provision of health and treatment services, pharmaceutical and laboratory services, and the training of human cadres by sending scientific and medical delegations.
In turn, the Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education in Iran, Bahram Ayn Allah, explained that these memos were the result of several meetings and visits that showed the health and medical capabilities and capacities in Syria, pointing to the importance of scientific and research relations between the two countries and reaching agreements on scientific societies and scientific development in Syria and Iran.
The signing of the two memorandums was attended by the Iranian ambassador, Mehdi Sobhani, assistants to the Minister of Health, and a number of directors and stakeholders.
