The artist Hamam Khairy, the owner of the renewed and modern line in Aleppo music, will attend his concert, scheduled to be held on the Opera House stage, tomorrow, Monday, with the Syrian National Band for Arab Music. .
In an interview with SANA’s reporter, Khairy explained that his presence on the stage of the Opera House, this great edifice, which is considered one of the important theaters, and with the Syrian National Band led by Maestro Adnan Fathallah, gives him an added value to his career, explaining that the program of the concert was chosen to include a link of songs that will be a mixture of muwashahat. The inherited and the new, in addition to the developed songs and popular songs.
Khairy went to renew this popular heritage of the city of Aleppo in order to make of it his own identity while preserving its essence. The Aleppo heritage, as he put it, is the mirror of society, explaining that whoever sings of the developed Aleppian Qudoud must be a musical educator to be able to analyze it and rebuild it anew.
Khairy is keen on exporting the Aleppine musical heritage outside Syria through his activities and concerts in many European countries. He also worked in this framework for ten years by teaching Aleppans in France to carry in his heart Aleppo with its art, heritage, poems, muwashshahat, folk songs and dances wherever he goes, stressing that Aleppo Still today the birth of art and the public still loves to hear this kind of original art.
Speaking about the beginning of his relationship with this art, he explained that more than 40 years ago, his beginning was with the able poet Antoine Moubayed, where he was raised by him artistically and humanly.
It is noteworthy that the artist Hammam Khairy, born in Aleppo in 1966, is a singer from the generation of veterans.
