The National Private University in Hama Governorate and the Moscow Automobile and Road Technical University of the Russian Federation today signed a cooperation agreement in the areas of professional and advanced training, implementation of joint projects and programs and the exchange of information on the results of research work on the basis of mutual benefit between the two parties.

The agreement, signed by Dr. Ahed Khuzam, President of the National Private University, and Dr. Mirzav Rustam, Vice President of Moscow Technical University, provides for the development of traditional friendly relations between Syria and the Russian Federation, taking into account the common interest in cooperation in the fields of education and science and its development to establish fruitful partnerships in training new employees and advanced training.

The agreement also provides for professional and internal retraining of teachers and researchers in accordance with the latest developments, with conducting joint research, projects and programs of work and exchanging information on the results of research work on the basis of mutual benefit and within the framework of Syrian and Russian Federation legislation.

In a statement to SANA reporter, Khuzam indicated that the five-year agreement provides for the exchange of information and scholarships between students and teaching staff of the two universities, as well as cooperation in the field of developing curricula and teaching techniques between the two parties, explaining that an executive program will be developed to follow up on the terms of the agreement to take its course and advanced steps towards implementation in accordance with The desired goals, expressing his hope to expand the horizons of cooperation to include postgraduate studies, such as diploma and master's research.

For his part, Rustam indicated in a similar statement that the agreement will focus, in addition to strengthening and activating cooperation relations between the two sides in the student and scientific fields, on establishing infrastructure and activating computer and information programs and their applications, stressing that this agreement will be the nucleus of work programs and joint projects in various scientific, technical and research aspects for the benefit. on both sides.

The signing of the agreement comes on the sidelines of the fourth Syrian-Russian joint meeting to follow up on the international conference on the return of Syrian refugees and displaced persons currently being held in Damascus.
