80 spectators came to the Kurhaus on Wednesday evening for the start of the "Tölz Crime Summer".

The food and drink investigation caused a lot of laughs.

Bad Tölz – A terrible murder happened on the Heisl from the tavern of all places.

Someone knocked Bavaria's best-known music producer Bonifazius Grantlhuber around the corner on the toilet.

He wanted to select new talents for his TV show "Wirtshaus-Musikanten" that evening.

And landlord's daughter Valentina Valtlbacher (Nicola Pendelin), cook Alfons Pfannenschwinger (Claus Obalski), toilet lady Fanni Blechberger (Bettina von Haken), but also police chief Krauterer (Markus Sieger) had eagerly prepared for the singing casting.

But now, of course, it has to be found out who secretly killed Grantlhuber.

Chief Inspector Ganglhofer (Ralf Schönberger) determined.

"Tölz Crime Summer": Opening evening in the Kurhaus

This is the start of the opening evening with a three-course menu for the first "Tölz Crime Summer" on Wednesday in the Kurhaus.

However, it takes a bit for the audience to warm up.

Around 80 spectators are seated at the beautifully laid tables - and lose themselves a little in the size and elegance of the room.

In fact, the "tavern thriller" probably works better in this one: a Bavarian inn where some benches are already worn out by the regulars' table stools, where you have to huddle together and where there is always a slight beer vapor in the air.

And so it takes almost until the main course (corn-fed chicken breast on red wine cream with fresh vegetables and grilled baby potatoes with sea salt) for the company to pick up speed.

The fact that the chief inspector likes to choose assistants from the ranks of the audience adds a lot to the entertainment.

The "Boogie-Woogie-Wuzerl", for example, makes a lot of progress in the hall.

"We circulate, but you have no text," the commissioner explains to him.

Then the Wuzerl has to collect evidence bags that were previously distributed in the audience and finally confront a suspect with one of the pieces of evidence.

"Fix, confront, threatening face, belly breathing," advises the inspector, then slaps the assistant.

And because he is the "Boogie-Woogie-Wuzerl", the man has to say "Yes Sir,

Four hours is determined in the Kurhaus in Bad Tölz

However, the Wuzerl turns out to be a natural talent.

"You're a grenade," says the inspector appreciatively - and lets the assistant dance again.

The two spectators, who were dressed in raffia skirts and always jump up when the investigator needs a breather, have to do the same.

The later audience assistants "Mr. Schorschi" and "Mr. Stefan" also contribute a lot to the amusement.

By the way, the audience needs a lot of patience.

The murderer is hunted for four hours between salad and Bavarian cream in the Kurhaus - and finally found.

Perhaps one or the other viewer had expected something more of a detective story than Bavarian slapstick, but there was definitely a lot to laugh about.

And in the end, everyone left the hall quite elated.

Crime summer in Bad Tölz runs until mid-July

There are still events as part of the crime thriller summer until the end of July.

Although some had to be canceled due to the lack of advance booking, other tavern investigations are already sold out.

An overview of the events, some of which can now also be booked without a menu, can be found at www.krimisommer.com.
